This workshop will present what neuroscience reveals about our emotions, both brain and body function, as well as resultant behaviour. It is possible that understanding our own emotions and those of our students can make us better teachers? Should we be teaching our pre-service teachers and students about emotion, emotion contagion, and emotion regulation? How can I incorporate an awareness of emotion into my lesson plans and daily classroom activities? These questions and more will be examined in the workshop. Designed for both elementary and secondary.
