Arda is a doctoral student in Mathematics Education and a research assistant in ENGRAMMETRON. Before attending SFU, he taught mathematics for 5 years, both elementary and secondary levels, in Turkey. His research interests are computer based instruction in mathematics education and educational neuroscience. More specifically, his current interests include design and development of e-learning, educational software, modeling of educational systems, image-based perception and reasoning in Geometry and electrooculography. His current research is conducted and analyzed through the high-tech tools in the educational neuroscience laboratory like electroencephalography, eye tracking and many others.
Arda is an avid guitar player who has performed live in Turkey.
