Experience and Research Interests
Kerry completed his MSc in Secondary Mathematics Education in August 2005. His thesis title was 'Image-based Reasoning in Geometry.' It proposes a theoretical framework for investigating the type of geometrical reasoning required of secondary school students. In September 2005 he started a PhD in Mathematics Education. A major goal of his doctoral work will be to find
empirical corroboration of the theoretical framework in his master’s thesis.
He plans to use high-density EEG equipment in the ENGRAMMETRON at SFU. He has many years of experience as a mathematics teacher and is now an administrator in the Vancouver school district.
